Biography
Mr. Lonnie Chestnut is a Co-Founder & serves as a Managing Partner at Impel Capital. He is primarily responsible for originating, risk management, and strategy of investments. He co-founded Impel Capital with Lamar Barnes in 2020. He began his career as a Commercial Lender for BB&T in 2005 and worked at the firm until 2012. He served in a variety of senior commercial lending roles prior to forming Impel Capital. He was the Regional President for First South Bank (later acquired by First Citizens Bank), a community bank that issued loans in the lower middle market from 2016 to 2019. He serves on the boards of Provizor Solutions and Sky Communications.
