Biography

Mr. Peter Cohen serves as a Special Advisor at Reverence Capital Partners. Mr. Cohen served as Chief Executive Officer, Executive Chairman & Board Member at Andover National. He serves as a Board Member at Gift of Life Biologics. He served as Vice Chairman at Light & Wonder. Brings over 50 years of leadership experience in finance and investing, with expertise in allocating capital to launch, build and lead public and private companies including Shearson Lehman American Express, Scientific Games, Ramius Capital Group ($13 billion AUM), and Cowen & Co. (NASDAQ: COWN). His board memberships include NYSE, the Depository Trust Company, Shearson Lehman American Express, Kroll Inc, Telecom Italia, and the New York Federal Reserve's Capital Markets Advisory Committee. He has also spent 30 years on the board of Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is a Co-Founder and serves as Chairman at Difesa Capital Management. He serves as Vice Chairman at Scientific Games. He serves as a Senior Advisor at ArmaVir Partners. He serves as a Board Member at Quadrant Biosciences. Previously, he served as Chairman at Cowen Group. He was also a Co-Founder and served as Managing Member at Ramius. He is a founding principal of the entity that owned the Ramius business before the combination of Ramius and Cowen Holdings, or Cowen Holdings, in November 2009. From November 1992 to May 1994, he was Vice Chairman and a director of Republic New York Corporation, as well as a member of its Executive Management Committee. He was also Chairman of the Republic's subsidiary, the Republic New York Securities Corporation. He was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Shearson Lehman Brothers from 1983 to 1990. He received a Bachelor of Science from Ohio State University in 1968 and his Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University in 1969.
