From 1986 until assuming his position with HealthWise, Mr. Melkus served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Surgical Care Affiliates, an owner and operator of independent ambulatory surgery centers. He served as Board Member at Ozburn-Hessey Logistics. He received both bachelor and master degrees in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
