Biography

Ms. Maria Klutey serves as President at Activate Renewables. She provides day-to-day oversight of operations, including leading sales activities for both landowner and developer transactions. She has been investing in renewable energy real estate since 2010. She was the CFO of American Wind Capital, the first company to focus on monetizing royalties from wind and solar renewable energy projects. She subsequently worked with multiple funding partners, including Everest Infrastructure Partners and, most recently, Landmark Dividend. Previously she spent 12 years at GE Capital, first in finance, operations, quality, and origination before joining the newly formed Renewable Finance group, which provided project equity and tax equity to renewable projects. Prior to joining GE Capital, she served six years of active duty in the U.S. Army. She holds a B.A. from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
