Biography

Mr. Brad White serves as Principal and Advisor at Blue Deer Capital. He served as Chairman at Synaptive. He has over 19 years of experience as a portfolio manager with a focus on alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital. He is a co-founder and chairman emeritus of EdgeHill Partners, a $650 mm+ alternative asset manager launched in 2010. Previously he was a co-founder of Salida Capital, where over 8 years as portfolio manager his funds recorded 30% compounded returns until his departure to start EdgeHill in 2010. In addition to being a Principal at Blue Deer Capital, he is a Director of Synaptive Medical. Prior to fund management, he worked as an energy analyst at Morgan Stanley, TD Securities, and BMO Nesbitt Burns compiling over 25 years of experience in capital markets. He sits on the board of Synaptive Medical. He is a founder and benefactor of the Embley Park Foundation, a private philanthropic organization. He holds a B.Comm. degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and a CFA designation. He is a Director of Orca Gold (TSXV: ORG). Prior to fund management, he worked as an energy analyst at Morgan Stanley, TD Securities, and BMO Nesbitt Burns compiling over 25 years of experience in capital markets. He is the Founder and benefactor of the Embley Park Foundation, a private philanthropic organization, as well as the White Trading Lab at Memorial University.
