Biography

Ms. Dara Mitchell serves as Senior Vice President at Kadant. Ms. Mitchell is a seasoned investor who has spent over 15 years helping to build world class businesses. She has successfully led multiple fundraisings, M&A transactions and IPOs and worked with numerous Boards. Her strengths include strategic analysis, implementing change, Board recruitment, driving exit agendas and readying businesses for sale or IPO. She also brings an international perspective having worked with venture funds in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Prior to NewDelta, Dara was a principal at 3i, a global private equity firm with $11B in assets. At 3i, Dara was responsible for investing in software and new media deals. Dara spent the early part of her career with Ernst & Young where she was a core member of their Financial Services Practice. During that time, she focused on strategic management information projects where she worked directly with Boards to establish key performance indicators linked to strategic goals. Dara co-authored Ernst & Young's "Balanced Scorecard Management Information Methodology" which was implemented in a number of major UK-based financial institutions. Dara received her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and her BA cum laude from Harvard University.
