Biography

Mr. Alexander Laats serves as Chief Executive Officer at JRNI. Mr. Alexander Laats served as Co-Chief Product Officer & General Manager at BitSight. He co-founded and served as Board Member, Chief Executive Officer and President at at Rekener. He served as Board Member at Brainshark. He is the Founder of Avoke Analytics. He is also the Chief Executive Officer at the Stealthy project. He served as the president and chief operating officer at Zero Turnaround. He is the co-founder and also served as Board Member at Ramp Holdings. He is a general partner of Commonwealth Capital Ventures. He holds BS degrees in Physics and Math from MIT and a JD from Harvard Law School. He has several years of experience operating, advising and investing in early-stage technology businesses, with a particular expertise in new business creation based on federr of Informio, a provider of VoiceXML services for large enterprises. Prior to founding Informio, he was the chairman, COO and co-founder of NBX Corporation, a Commonwealth-baally-funded research and development. At Commonwealth, he focuses on investments in the software, Internet, defense and security sectors. Prior to joining Commonwealth, he was a division president at BBN Technologies, a Commonwealth-backed company that was acquired by Raytheon in 2009. He created and led BBN's Delta division, where he successfully turned the intellectual property and know-how of the R&D organization into a source of revenue and profit for the company. During his tenure at BBN, he led the growth of BBN's Boomerang and AVOKE businesses and was the founding CEO of RAMP, a BBN spin-out company. He also conceived and led BBN's acquisition of Digital Force Technologies.
