Biography
Mr. William Janes serves as Chairman at Iron Point Partners. He became involved with the Bass Entities in 1990 and, since that time, he has played a significant role in all major real estate transactions for the Bass Entities, including the acquisition of real estate assets and loans throughout New York City on behalf of Bass-related entities, and the acquisition of interests in numerous Japanese properties through DaVinci I Corp. Y.K. He was also actively involved in the initial public offerings of CarrAmerica, Paragon, CapStar, and GMH Communities Trust, Paragon's subsequent merger with Camden Property Trust, the acquisition of the Mendik real estate portfolio by Vornado, and the merger of the Codina Group, Inc. and Florida East Coast Industries. He earned a B.A. degree from Bowdoin College.
