Biography

Mr. John Lilly serves as Board Member at Duolingo. He serves as Board Member at Code For America. He serves as a Venture Partner at Greylock Partners. He serves as an Advisor at PlayerZero. He served as Advisor at Latent Space and Syntegra. He serves as an Advisor at Dynaboard. He serves as Board Member at Figma. He serves as a Board Member at Nuro, Crew (Communication Software) and Clockwise. He served as an Advisor at Skiff. He is also a Board Member at Angle Technologies and Ozlo. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Crew, ClearSlide, Jack Mobile, Sparks Mobile, and several unannounced investments. He led Greylock's investment in Dropbox and led our investments in Tumblr (acquired by Yahoo in 2013) and Instagram (acquired by Facebook in 2012). He previously served on the boards of directors of TripIt (acquired by Concur in 2011), CenterRun (acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2003), and Reactivity (acquired by Cisco Systems in 2007). Prior to Greylock, He was CEO of Mozilla, the organization behind Firefox, the open-source Web browser used by more than 450 million people. He also co-founded Reactivity, an enterprise security infrastructure company acquired by Cisco in 2007, where he served as founding CEO and later CTO. Earlier in his career, He held positions on the executive team at Trilogy Software and as a Senior Scientist in Apple's research labs. He holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering and an MS in Computer Science with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction, both from Stanford University. He is a Consulting Assistant Professor at Stanford's d.school, and an advisor to both the Stanford Technology Ventures Program and StartX, Stanford's start-up accelerator. He is also a co-inventor on seven United States patents. He served as Board Member at Caffeine.
