Biography

Mr. Andre Jakurski is a Co-founder and serves as Director and Portfolio Manager of a Multi-strategy fund at JGP. He is responsible for operations in developed countries. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School with honors in 1973, where he was a Baker Scholar, after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from PUC-Rio (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro) in 1971. In 1983, he founded Banco Pactual, where he worked for 15 years, being the main responsible for the bank's success in managing investment funds, equity portfolios, and the institution's proprietary portfolio. Before that, he was an Executive Director at Unibanco for nine years. Currently, he is a member of the Board of the Dean's Advisors at Harvard Business School, the Advisory Council for Latin America (Chairman 2003-2009) at Harvard Business School, and a member of the Global Advisory Council of Harvard University.
