Biography

Mr. Mac Van Wielingen is a Co-Founder and serves as Advisor & Partner at ARC Financial. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Alberta Investment Management. He provides leadership support for the executive team in the areas of internal governance, corporate development, and investment decision-making. He has played key roles in numerous significant corporate transactions and capital-raising projects. Mac is a member of ARC's Investment and Strategy committees. He has served as Vice-Chairman and Director of ARC Resources since its formation in 1996. Previously Mr. Van Wielingen was a Senior Vice-President and Director of a major national investment dealer responsible for all corporate finance activities in Alberta. Before founding ARC in 1989 was Senior Vice-President and Director at a major Canadian investment dealer. Mr. Van Wielingen holds a B.A. (Honours) in Business from the University of Western Ontario and has studied post-graduate Economics at Harvard University.
