Mark Lanigan JD General Information

Biography

Mr. Mark Lanigan served as Senior Advisor at Tailwind Capital. He is also a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Director at Black Canyon Capital. He also served as a Board Member at Benevis. He also served as the Chairman of Lone Peak Dental Group. He assists Tailwind in sourcing, evaluating and performing due diligence across the firm's focus sectors, with a particular emphasis on businesses based in the western half of the United States. He serves on the Board of Directors of of Lieberman Research Worldwide. He has almost 30 years of M&A, strategic advisory and private investment experience. In 2004, he co-founded Black Canyon Capital, a mid-market provider of private equity and debt. Before founding Black Canyon, he was the Co-Head of the Los Angeles Investment Banking Department of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) and a member of the Investment Banking Executive Board. Before CSFB, he was the Head of the Los Angeles office of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Saunders & Associates and JDC Healthcare and Malibu Boats (NASDAQ: MBUU). He previously served on the Board of Directors of a number of companies, including Virgin America, Archway Marketing Services, Tasi Holdings. He began his career in investment banking at Drexel Burnham Lambert. He received a JD degree from Harvard Law School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA degree summa cum laude from Colgate University.
