Biography

Mr. Sebastien Sherman serves as Senior Managing Director, Infrastructure Group at Blackstone. Mr. Sherman e serves as Chairman at Carrix. He serves as Board Member at SSA Marine. Previously, He served as Board Member at Bruce Power and Carrix. He served as Senior Managing Director, Americas at OMERS Infrastructure Management. He is responsible for originating and managing investments primarily in the energy infrastructure and transportation industries in the Americas. He joined Borealis in 2003 and has worked in progressively senior roles including formerly heading our London office. His bid experience includes our acquisitions of Scotia Gas Networks and High Speed 1 in the UK, NET4GAS in the Czech Republic, and Ciel Satellite in Canada. He has worked extensively with financial and strategic partners on investment origination and asset management. Prior to joining Borealis, he spent seven years with leading Canadian and U.S. investment banks advising on M&A transactions and executing financings. He also worked in the Bank of Canada's research department. He has extensive board experience having acted on subcommittees responsible for human resources, audit and financial reporting, regulatory settlements, and health and safety. He is a non-executive director of Scotia Gas Networks, NET4GAS, and Ciel Satellite. He has an Honours BA (Economics) degree from Queen's University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
