Biography

Mr. Michael Dorsey is a Co-Founder & serves as General Partner at Innovations for Impact. Mr. Michael Dorsey serves as General Partner at Reaction Global. Mr. Dorsey serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors at Sand Hill Foundation. He also served as a Board member at Healyx Labs. He has a successful 14-year record in Impact Investing and Co-founded the innovative Bay Area Equity Fund (now DBL Investors). As a managing partner, he raised and managed the fund, serving on the investment committee from the fund's inception. Mr. Dorsey has also managed two funds for the Westly Group and is an angel investor in social impact companies. His most recent investments are in Proterra, an electric bus company, and Clean Fund, an energy efficiency finance company. Before co-founding the Bay Area Equity Fund, Mr. Dorsey worked as an investment banker for 20 years. He served as Head of Technology Investment Banking of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Cowen & Co. In this capacity, he worked with most leading venture capital firms as an agent and made venture capital investments as a principal. Mr. Dorsey holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Yale School of Management. He also serves on the board of directors of Revolution Foods, Medicines 360, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, as well as the advisory board of the Initiative on Impact Investing of the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, and various advisory boards of Stanford University.
