Biography

Mr. Matthew Jacobson serves as General Partner at ICONIQ Capital. Mr. Jacobson serves as a General Partner at ICONIQ Growth. He also serves as Board Member at Unifyapps. He also serves as a Board Member at Twistlock, Miro, SendBird, Braze and Relativity & highspot. He served as a Board Member at InVision.He is also an Angel Investor. He is a Board Observer of Turbonomic and is a Board Member of AppBoy and Sprinklr Japan. Prior to this role, he served as the Managing Director. Previously, he served as an Investor at Battery Ventures and Chief Executive Officer of New York at Groupon, where he led the sales and operations for Groupon's largest market, growing revenues by 220%. Before Groupon, he spent a number of years with Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) a $7.7B private equity and venture capital firm, where he focused on investments in the Internet and Software sectors. At TCV, he served as an Investor and has helped source and execute investments in leading Internet and Software businesses including Groupon (NASDAQ: GRPN), HomeAway (NASDAQ: AWAY) and Everyday Health. He also worked closely with other companies including Orbitz (NASDAQ: OWW), Adknowledge, TheStreet.com (NASDAQ: TSCM) and Travelport. Prior to TCV, he spent several years at Lehman Brothers, working on a variety of debt and equity financings, M&A transactions and strategic advisory assignments, including advising Yahoo! on Microsoft's unsolicited $44 billion bid for the company. He received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a dual concentration in Finance and Management. He currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board of Techweek. He serves as a Board Member at Gitlab.
