Biography
Mr. Mike Makris served as Chief Financial Officer at UBmatrix. Before joining UBmatrix, he held the position of Vice-President and Corporate Controller at the publicly held companies of P-COM and Aviron. His recent experience also includes taking privately-held companies public, Threshold (THLD) and Genitope (GTOP). Mr. Makris was essential in coordinating the sale of Aviron to Medimmune and has led public companies in meeting Sarbanes Oxley requirements. His early career experience includes public accounting at KPMG and 11 years in various accounting and leadership roles for United Technologies (Fortune 100). He is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor and recently published "Benefits of XBRL for Finance Executives". His undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Utah and Masters degree in Management is from Purdue University.
