John O'Brien General Information

Biography

Mr. John O'Brien is the Founder and serves as Managing Director and Chief Brewer and Legendary Alchemist & Managing Director at O'Brien (Beverages). He Chief Brewer and Legendary Alchemist for Rebellion Brewing and O'Brien Beer. He is responsible for all brewing, logistics and operations for the Rebellion Group of companies (existing and NPDs) and serves as a Director for all entities. After being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease 20 years ago and told by his doctor "no more beer", He set out to develop a gluten free beer for himself and others alike - even setting fire to the back shed in those early days. Almost 20 years on, O'Brien Beer has won more than 50 international awards - including nine AIBA GOLD medals, the only Indies GOLD medal ever awarded to a gluten free beer and a World Beer Cup Silver award.
