Biography

Mr. Ved Tiwari serves as Chief Executive Officer at National Skill Development Corporation. He also serves as Managing Director of its fully owned subsidiary, NSDC International. A key member of the senior leadership team, He plays an integral role in developing and executing NSDC's strategies to drive skilling operations through Sector Skill Councils (SSC), Training Providers, and Industry Engagement. He has served several senior positions in the Government of India, and private sector, including as MD SunEdison, Global CEO Sterlite Power, Director at Ministry of Railways, Director in Kochi Metro, Chennai Metro and Nagpur Metro and GM/DMRC. He has over 25 years of experience in the Infrastructure Sector - Energy, Urban Development, and Transportation. He is credited with the success of the partnership between Kochi Metro and 'Kudumbashree', the world's largest women's self-help mission which helped skill young women in Kerala to take up facility management jobs in Kochi Metro. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from MMMUT, MBA from ISB, Hyderabad, and has completed Executive Programs from Kellogg School of Management and Wharton Business School.
