Biography

Mr. Mark Aldridge serves as Chief Executive Officer & President at MCAP. He was appointed as MCAP's President & Chief Executive Officer on July 5, 2018. He is responsible for the planning, direction and overall profitability of all activities relating to the operations of MCAP's lines of business: Capital Markets, Single Family, Commercial Mortgages, Investor Relations and Development Finance. In this role, he prepares, executes and oversees MCAP's annual business plan and long-term strategic plan in order to optimize MCAP's long-term sustainable earnings and value, while preserving its assets, capital and reputation. Prior to becoming President and Chief Executive Officer, he was MCAP's President and Chief Operating Officer since 2013. He was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2006 to 2013. He was responsible for all aspects of the enterprise's financial affairs including financial reporting, treasury and capital markets. He also advised the Executive Management Committee and the Board of Directors on strategic initiatives, acquisitions and distribution of assets. He joined MCAP in 2001 as Vice President and Corporate Controller. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He earned his Chartered Accountant designation at Ernst and Young. He has a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours from McMaster University.
