Biography

Ms. Julie Sandler serves as Managing Director at PSL Studio. She is also a Co-Founder and serves as General Partner at PSL Ventures. She joined Madrona in 2011 and is a Principal on the investment team. She serves as a Board Member at Shipium & Canotic. She led Madrona's investment in Julep and is also a board observer for several of Madrona's portfolio companies, including Butter and Evocalize. She serves as a Board Observer at Ludica Health. She serves as a Board Member at Maxpoint, Rover.com, and SNUPI Technologies. She launched the Seattle Entrepreneurial Women's Network (SEWN), an informal forum for women entrepreneurs, startuppers, and aspiring entrepreneurs to connect in the Greater Seattle area. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Washington where she teaches a course on Entrepreneurship at the Foster School of Business. Prior to joining Madrona, She was a senior product manager at Amazon on the Kindle team, where she managed digital marketing and traffic channels for Kindle's ebook business, both in the US and internationally. She also led the definition, design, and technical implementation of new products for the Kindle Content shopping experience. Earlier in her career, she worked at Accenture, where she spent several years in product management within Microsoft's SMSG Solutions Delivery group. At Microsoft, she launched the worldwide Disaster Response initiative for Microsoft Volume Licensing and led the international rollout of order-to-invoice operations for Microsoft Mediaroom (formerly "IPTV"). While pursuing her MBA, she worked in product management and business development at TeachStreet, a Madrona portfolio company (acquired by Amazon in February 2012). She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University with honors, with distinction, and with both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She also received an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School.
