Biography

Mr. Billy Bailey serves as Principal at BP Energy Partners. He is responsible for deal sourcing, strategy, transaction analysis, due diligence, negotiating and portfolio company oversight. Prior to joining BP Energy Partners (BPEP), Mr. Bailey founded Saltstone Capital Management in 2016, an investment management firm focused on the Energy value chain including Green Tech companies. Saltstone assessed value by identifying significant trends derived from a detailed bottoms-up fundamental research process. Before founding Saltstone, Mr. Bailey spent over six years with the late T. Boone Pickens' investment management firm, BP Capital, where he worked closely with BPEP's Co-Founder, Alex Szewczyk. Mr. Bailey began his career with Mr. Pickens as an intern and quickly became a Senior Research Analyst for the firm. In late 2014, he was appointed Portfolio Manager for BP Capital Energy Horizons. In addition to idea generation and portfolio construction, he was tasked with analyzing, managing, and monitoring Mr. Pickens' private investments. Mr. Bailey graduated cum laude with a B.S. in finance from the Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama.
