Biography

Mr. Fred Toney is a Co-Founder and serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Launchpad Digital Health. He served as Board Observer at Lab Sensor Solutions. He is a Co-Founder and serves as a Managing General Partner at 9.58 Ventures. More than 20 years of financial and executive management in digital health, medical, life sciences, and financial sectors. Served in executive and Board capacities for 50 public and private companies, including audit committees and board financial experts, and as an investment manager. Served as Chief Financial Officer of HealthCentral (from Series B venture funding, IPO, seven acquisitions, and ultimately as CEO through the sale of its divisions to five separate companies); Executive Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of RxList (which he co-founded, funded, managed and sold to WebMD); and Chief Financial Officer of C8 MediSensors (from its Series B venture funding through Series D, and EU regulatory approval of a glucose monitoring medical device and accompanying mobile software application in 27 European countries, partnership with GE Healthcare and managed its sale process to a private equity group). Experience includes being a managing partner of a leading SF-based boutique investment banking firm and the management of healthcare funds, completion of 100+ investments and 60+ investment banking transactions raising more than $2 billion in capital funding, and the execution of 20+ M&A transactions.
