Biography

Mr. Kevin Kopczynski serves as Vice President, Strategy and M&A at Plug Power. Mr. Kopczynski serves as Partner at Congruent Ventures. He served as Chief Executive Officer, Board Member & President at Enki Technology. From 2013 to 2016 he was CEO of Enki Technology, where he guided the startup company from the development to revenue stages and established key customer partnerships in the US and China that culminated with Enki's acquisition by First Solar. Before Plug, he was a Senior Director at First Solar, where led the successful post-acquisition integration and global deployment of Enki Technology's durable, high-efficiency coatings into the Series 6 module. Previously, he was a Partner at RockPort Capital Partners. He began his career as a product design engineer at IQuum Inc. (acquired by Roche Diagnostics) and Arthur D. Little and is an inventor on several issued patents. He also served as a Board Member at NewLeaf Symbiotics. He was a Consultant in the Technology and Innovation practice at Arthur D. Little. Prior to joining RockPort, he held a variety of operating and senior technical positions in a medical device startup that grew from four to forty employees. He currently serves on the Board of Ascension Industries, a manufacturing company serving the industrial and energy markets. He earned his BSE in mechanical engineering from Princeton University, an MS in engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
