Biography

Mr. Ming-po Cai is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer & Chairman at Cathay Capital Private Equity. He is also a Co-Founder of Cathay Innovation & serves as its President, Cathay Capital. He brings more than 20 years of cross-border investment experience and deep expertise developing China-entry strategies for multinational companies, and globalization strategies for Chinese companies expanding internationally. Prior to founding Cathay Capital, Mr. CAI successfully founded and managed several companies in various sectors. Cathay's focus business sectors include consumer goods, health care, modern service industry, environment, agriculture and food security, as well as advanced technology. He is an independent director of GL Events and sits on the board of several Cathay portfolio companies. In addition, he is member of the prestigious International Advisory Board of CEIBS, sits at the Honorary Committee of Parsons The New School in Paris, and is an active member of the global business leaders organization YPO. He is also a director on the boards of two foundations - France-Chine Entreprendre Fondation, which Cathay Capital established in 2011, and the CEIBS Education Foundation. Mr. CAI received a master's degree in Management from EM Lyon in France, and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, China.
