Biography

Mr. Bastian Lueken was a Co-Founding Partner at Novalpina Capital. He served as Principal & Managing Director at Platinum Equity. Prior to joining Platinum in 2011, Mr. Lueken spent several years at TPG Capital where, amongst other roles and responsibilities, he led TPG's European Technology and General Industrial efforts. As a consequence of Mr. Lueken's investment activity at TPG, he has served on the Boards of Directors of Bally International and Isola Group and on the Supervisory Boards of mobilcom AG and freenet AG. Prior to joining TPG, Mr. Lueken worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley in London and Frankfurt working on European merges and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and debt capital markets transactions. Mr. Lueken graduated summa cum laude from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe-University in Frankfurt with a Masters degree (Diplom-Kaufmann) in business and finance, and he holds a Maitrise de Sciences de Gestion from Universite Paris IX Dauphine.
