Biography

Mr. Chris Herringshaw serves as Managing Director & Chief Technology Officer at Vista Equity Partners. He joined Vista Equity Partners in 2024 and is the Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Herringshaw is responsible for overseeing Information Technology and Security functions for Vista. Prior to joining Vista, Mr. Herringshaw was Global Chief Technology Officer at Janus Henderson Investors, running a platform that managed more than $350 billion in assets. While at Janus Henderson, Mr. Herringshaw was a member of its Executive Committee and served on several other leadership committees. He was also a Director of the Janus Henderson Charitable Foundation. Prior to Janus Henderson, he spent more than 15 years at Citadel in various senior technology leadership roles. Before entering the financial services industry, Mr. Herringshaw was Co-Founder and the CTO / Lead Technologist at a number of venture-backed startup companies, where he helped create and commercialize patented technology for internet-based geolocation that has won numerous awards, including a Technology & Engineering Emmy Award. He has done his B.S.E. in Computer Engineering, the University of Michigan.
