Biography

Mr. Alex Doñé serves as Managing Director, Investor Relations at Platinum Equity. Mr. Doñé served as Chief Investment Officer at New York City Employees' Retirement System. He served as Deputy Comptroller for Asset Management & Chief Investment Officer at the Office of the New York City Comptroller. He has worked in the LP's Bureau of Asset Management since 2012, most recently serving as the executive director of Private Equity and the head of New York City's $5.6 billion PE emerging managers program. Previously, he was a Presidential Appointee to the Barack Obama administration and served as Associate Director for Business Development at the U.S. Department of Commerce-Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA). Mr. Doñé began his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch & Co. He also served as Head of Retail Industry Investment Banking at KPMG Corporate Finance. He holds an A.B. in Public and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
