Biography

Mr. John Kallassy is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Board Member at Bactana. He is the Founder & serves as Managing Partner & Investment Committee Member at Aimers Venture Partners. He serves as Chief Financial Officer and Strategic and Financial Advisor at Torigen Pharmaceuticals. He is a leader and innovator in the animal health and human medical device fields. Most recently, he was the COO and CFO at Jaguar Animal Health where he oversaw the company's Nasdaq IPO in 2015. Previously he was the CEO of Zargis Medical, where he led the global launch of a medical device that was awarded "2009 Product of the Year" by Popular Science magazine. In April 2011, he led the sale of Zargis' technology to 3M. He also spent 2 years advising technology and life science companies as a licensed Investment banker. He studied pharmacology and biochemistry at the University of Leeds in England, holds a B.S. in biology from the State University of New York, and received an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
