Biography

Mr. Michael Miller serves as a Chief Executive Officer at Lund Van Dyke. He brings over 18 years of professional experience with over 12 years focused on originating and managing middle market investments. Most recently, he was a partner with CIVC Partners, a middle market focused private equity firm based in Chicago with approximately $1 billion under management. Mr. Miller joined CIVC in 1999 and was made a Partner in 2007. Over his 12 years at CIVC, Mr. Miller was involved in all aspects of acquiring and managing investments in private companies, including acting as an interim executive and serving on several boards of directors. Mr. Miller was closely involved in over 20 completed transactions, including add-on acquisitions, public equity offerings, recapitalizations, and exits. Mr. Miller had significant involvement and played lead roles in various aspects of five middle market investments similar in investment strategy to those being targeted by Wolf Point. Mr. Miller's experience included significant involvement in all facets of the investment in Wastequip, Inc., which is a model transaction for what he is pursuing with Wolf Point. Over a six year period, CIVC and management consolidated operations, expanded the product offering, completed a management transition and closed seven acquisitions, making Wastequip the largest company in its industry. Prior to joining CIVC, Mr. Miller was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch and Co., where he focused on raising debt and equity capital as well as mergers and acquisition transactions for public companies in the financial services industry. Mr. Miller also spent three years at Ford Motor Company where he completed a management training program and held a number of sales and marketing positions. Mr. Miller earned a BS from the Miami University School of Business and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. Mr. Miller currently serves on the Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Chicago Jesuit Academy, a full scholarship middle school focused on students from modest economic backgrounds.
