Biography

Dr. John Wehrle is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at DTI Capital. Previously He was a founder and Managing Partner of Gryphon Holdings II and II 'B' (2000 and 2002) and Gryphon Holdings (1998), private equity and venture capital funds. As a founding manager, he raised funds, managed portfolio company investments and realizations and structured and managed both private equity funds and co-investment vehicles. Before joining Gryphon, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Heartland Capital Partners, L.P., a Dallas based private equity small to midcap buyout fund, and also served as Managing Director and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. Previously, Mr. Wehrle was a Vice President of The Dyson-Kissner-Moran Corporation ("DKM"), a New York based private equity midcap buyout firm and also served as a Managing Director of the Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. where he led a structured finance product group in execution of leveraged acquisitions. He qualified as an attorney and CPA, previously in practice with Price Waterhouse in New York and London with degrees from Washington University and St. Louis University. He lives in St. Louis, MO.
