Biography

Mr. Denis Turcotte serves as the Managing Partner of Private Equity at Brookfield Capital Partners. He also serves as a Board Member at Altera Infrastructure. He serves as President & Chief Executive Officer at NCCP. He also serves as a Board Member at Brookfield Properties. He served as a Board Member at NorBord. He serves as Managing Partner, Private Equity at Brookfield Business Partners. He also serves as Non-Executive Director at Coalspur Mines. He serves as a Board Member at Domtar and as Chairman at Graftech International. He served as Chairman at Westinghouse Electric Company. He is a Professional Engineer with several years of experience and was previously the President and CEO of Algoma Steel an integrated steel producer based in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He oversaw the successful recapitalization and rapid growth of Algoma which was subsequently acquired for C$1.85 billion in cash by Essar Global in 2007. He is currently President and CEO of a private business consulting and investing firm. He is a highly regarded Canadian-based corporate executive and in 2006 was recognized as Canadian Business Magazine's Top CEO. He is highly regarded by the North American investment community and brings to the Board his extensive experience as a senior executive of TSX-listed and commodity-based companies. He will join the Company's Audit Committee. He holds a BE (Bachelor of Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering from Lakehead University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
