Biography

Mr. John Schweig serves as Chairman of the Board at BlackHawk Industrial Distribution. He serves as an Operating Partner at TruArc Partners. He serves as a Board Member at Meyer Laboratory. He previously served as Chairman at Kele. He also serves as Co-Chairman at New Directions Aromatics. He serves as an Advisory Board Member at Rock Gate Partners. He serves as a Board Member at Magid Glove & Safety Manufacturing Company and Maritz. He served as an Advisory Board Member at 3Discovered. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for W. W. Grainger. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for Product and Brand Management at the University of Wisconsin and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of the Boy Scouts of America's Northeast Illinois Council. Before joining TruArc, he served as president of Grainger International, running all international distribution businesses and global sourcing. As Chief Strategy Officer, he was deeply involved in Grainger's transformation from a domestic branch-based catalog business to an international, multi-billion dollar online B2B leader. Before Grainger, he was a partner at Bain & Company focusing on distribution, channel sales and marketing, and industrial products. He draws on these experiences to better collaborate with TruArc's investment professionals and management teams. He received his B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Colgate University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
