Biography

Dr. Roland Metzger serves as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer at RM Beteiligungsverwaltung. Dr. Metzger is a Board Member of Flytxt. He worked for several years as a management consultant at the Sema Group and Arthur D. Little and as a member of the management board at a subsidiary of Siemens AG in the graphics industry. He is also an Angel Investor. In 1995 he founded Europe's first Internet job exchange, "job pilot", which he floated on the stock exchange in 2000 and made it the European market leader with a presence in 14 countries. In the spring of 2002, he sold "job pilot" to Adecco SA, the world's largest personnel service provider, and continued to head the company until 2003. Since 2003 he has been active as an investor and founder in a number of companies from various, primarily technology-oriented sectors. He was awarded the Online Star and honored by the Association of the German Internet Industry for outstanding success and pioneering work in e-recruiting. He studied mathematics and economics at the University of Heidelberg. After completing his studies with a degree in mathematics, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Heidelberg and received his doctorate in economics.
