Biography
Mr. Shintaro Kobayashi served as Managing Director of Japan Private Equity at CITIC Capital. He served as Board Member at Mark Styler Company. Prior to joining CITIC Capital, Mr. Kobayashi was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he engaged in the projects such as operational improvements, cost reductions and business strategy. Previously, he worked for a start-up venture investment firm, in a variety of leadership positions. He started his career at Dai-ichi Kangyo Bank (now Mizuho Financial Group), where he engaged in corporate lending and principal investments. He received an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo. He is also a Chartered Member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan.
