Mark Hunter General Information

Biography

Mr. Mark Hunter served as Executive Vice President, Business Development & Operations at Veran Medical Technologies. He is one of the original employees and co-founders of Surgical Navigation Technologies, Inc. which came out of Southern Illinois University in 1993. He and his co-founders moved SNT to Colorado and concurrently obtained an equity investment from Sofamor Danek in 1994. In his tenure at SNT, Mr. Hunter held a breadth of leadership roles including Group Director of Engineering, Operations, and Business Development. He has over 24 issued patents in his name and many more pending applications. After the acquisition of SNT by Sofamor Danek and then Medtronic, he continued to be a top executive leader within the organization until 2007 when he left to join the Veran team. The Navigation division at Medtronic is the world leader in research, development, manufacture and marketing of surgical navigation with over 3,500 installed navigation units.
