Biography

Dr. Jianguo Li co-founded and served as Managing Director & Chief Partner at Leadyond Capital. He also serves as Chairman of Jianglian Heavy Industry Co. He was one of the founders of Legend Capital and Hony Capital. Legend Capital is a renowned venture capital and growth capital firm in China. Hony Capital is also a top private equity firm in China. Mr. Li participated in structuring teams, starting up initial operations, and framing strategies when he worked for these two firms. Having led many projects for Legend Capital, Hony Capital, and Leadyond, Mr. Li is experienced with private equity investment and post-investment managerial service. Mr. Li sat on the board of directors or acted as chairman for many portfolio companies, providing them with management and value-added services. Some investments have already achieved complete or partial exits. Mr. Li has vast experience in managing investment firms through founding and running Legend Capital, Hony Capital, and Leadyond. Mr. Li was in charge of operation control, enterprise resource planning, and human resource management at Legend Holdings, which brought him solid enterprise management experience. Mr. Li has established extensive government networks. Mr. Li had previously worked as the deputy director of the National Economic and Trade Commission of China for four years and headed the government relationship department at Legend Holdings Co., Ltd. for two years. Mr. Li obtained his Doctorate in Philosophy from Renmin University of China in 1994.
