Paolo Cerasoli General Information
Biography
Dr. Cerasoli served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Glomeria Therapeutics. Dr. Cerasoli is a nephrologist at the Nephrology Dialysis Department of Sulmona General Hospital. He has extensive expertise in research on dialysis devices. Dr. Cerasoli received his medical degree at the School of Medicine of Rome's La Sapienza University. He completed his nephrology clinical and research training at the post-graduate School of Nephrology at the "G. D'Annunzio" University of Chieti, where his major research focus was on the kidney-pancreas double graft. He was Sanitary director for the W.H.O. at SOS Kinderdorf Hospital in Mogadishu (Somalia) and later Sanitary Director for the W.H.O. in Ft. Lauderdale (FL). He has more than 15 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is the holder of several patents. Currently, his research is focused on implantable artificial organs, medical devices for the treatment of congestive heart failure, and peritoneal dialysis connectors that eliminate the risk of infections.
