Walter McClure General Information
Biography
Mr. Walter McClure served as Managing Director, Hedge Fund Solutions Group - BAAM at Blackstone. Since joining Blackstone in 2013, he has been involved in investment evaluation, portfolio analytics, and risk assessment for BAAM's Special Situations Investing Group, as well as trading for all BAAM products. Previously, he was responsible for trading and risk reporting of a global multi-asset portfolio for Xaraf Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund manager, where he also worked as a quantitative portfolio manager. Prior to joining Xaraf, he was a quantitative portfolio manager and researcher in a proprietary trading group in Morgan Stanley's equity division. Earlier in his career at Morgan Stanley, he was a trading systems programmer developing high-frequency trading systems and quantitative research and trading infrastructure. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he was a trading systems programmer at Blackwood Trading developing stock execution and high-frequency trading strategies. He received a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Connecticut.
