Ian Ritchie General Information

Biography

Mr. Ian Cleland Ritchie serves as Chairman at Wyld Networks. He also serves as Chairman at Workpro. He served as the Chairman of Cogbooks. He served as Advisor at Pentech Ventures. He founded OWL in 1984, which pioneered hypertext application development (a forerunner to the world wide web) selling the company to Panasonic in 1989. Since then he has been involved in over 40 start-up high-tech businesses. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and a Fellow and past President of the British Computer Society. His TED talk has been viewed over 600,000 times. He has a degree in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University (1973) and holds Honorary Doctorates from Robert Gordons, Abertay, Heriot-Watt, and Edinburgh Universities. He served as Board Member at Shot Scope.
