Biography
Mr. Frank Sands had founded Sands Capital. He served as Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners. He earned BA in economics from Dickinson College in 1960 and an MBA from the University of Virginia in 1963. Frank joined Sands Capital at its founding in 1992, serving as an assistant to the President, Frank Sands, Sr., CFA. Frank re-joined the firm in 2000 as Director of Research and Sr. Co-Portfolio Manager of the Select Growth strategy. In 2008, Frank became Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer of the firm. Prior to re-joining Sands Capital, Frank spent six years as a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Fayez Sarofim & Co., an institutional investment management firm based in Houston. Frank earned a BA from Washington & Lee University (1989), an MS from Johns Hopkins University (1993), and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia (1994).
