Biography

Mr. Dennis Cagan served as Board Member at Think-X. He is a Co-Founder & serves as Board Member at Acorn Technologies. His successful exits include David Jamison Carlyle Corporation (NASDAQ: DJCC, then acquired by a public British firm), Ducommun Data Systems (sold to a public company), Century Computer Marketing, Data Enterprise Services, Wavefront Technologies (NASDAQ, later acquired by Silicon Graphics), Intervista Software (acquired by Platinum Software-Computer Associates International: CA), Software.com, Inc. (NASDAQ, merged with Phone.com, now OpenWave: OPWV), ISOCOR (acquired by Critical Path: CPTH), Message Media, Inc. (acquired by DoubleClick: DCLK), Supply Solution, Inc. (merged with TradeBeam), Commission Junction, Inc. (acquired by ValueClick: VLCK), Bargain Network, Inc. (acquired by Vertrue: VTRU). In 1979, Dennis was the Keynote Speaker at the first COMDEX Show in Las Vegas. In 2011, he was elected to the IT Hall of Fame - Channel Wing, administered by CompTIA. In 2013, the Dallas Business Journal and NACD selected him as one of 12 Outstanding Directors in North Texas. Since 2000, Dennis has also been the founder, Chairman, and CEO of the Santa Barbara Technology Group, a private investment firm focused on early-stage technology companies. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) where he majored in economics, and he has an honorable discharge from the USMC.
