Biography

Mr. Guus Frericks is the Founder & serves as Managing Partner at DeepTechXL Venture Capital. Mr. Frericks is a Co-Founder and serves as an Advisor at Incooling. He co-founded & served as Chief Operating Officer at Dutch Expansion Capital. He served as a Board Member at Dynaxion. He co-founded and served as Chief Growth Officer at High Tech XL. He also co-founded and served as Managing Director at Startupbootcamp. He will oversee the business and performance of DEC in the Netherlands with the other DEC team members. He will be a permanent member of the Investment Committee. He started his career 1995 as an Industrial Engineer at Royal Philips Electronics, a Netherlands-based global leader in consumers, Healthcare, and Lifestyle. After several management positions in Manufacturing, Assembly, Marketing, and General Management he became Vice President at Philips Semiconductors in Caen, France. He was responsible for building the global Home Media Devices business line with offices in China, India, the US, and Europe. In 2007 he was appointed as President and Managing Director at Moversa GmbH in Vienna, Austria; a Sony and NXP venture in the area of contactless technology for mobile phone applications. Before joining DEC, he founded Birch Caring Ventures and acted as CEO. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Radboud University, Nijmegen the Netherlands.
