Biography

Mr. David Weinberger served as Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management at Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company. He is responsible for all Sector Specialists and is also a member of the firm's Portfolio Construction Group. Prior to joining PAAMCO he was a Co-Managing Partner of The O'Connor Partnerships and a Managing Director at Swiss Bank, as well as a Senior Advisor to Swiss Bank and UBS Investment Bank. David also served as a Board Member of the Prediction Company, where he helped guide research in statistical arbitrage. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Santa Fe Institute. Before joining The O'Connor Partnerships, David was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs where he worked with Robert Rubin in risk arbitrage, convertible bonds, equity options and related instruments. He began his career doing mathematical research at Bell Laboratories and also was a Visiting Lecturer at Yale University. David received MS and PhD degrees in Operations Research as a National Science Foundation Fellow at Cornell University and an AB in Mathematics (magna cum laude) from Princeton University. He has more than thirty years of experience working in financial markets.
