Biography

Mr. Rajan Gupta serves as Investor & Board Member at Relectrify. He serves as Senior Managing Director at Energy Innovation Capital. He serves as Board Member at ConnectDER. He served as Vice President at GE Capital. He also serves as Board Member at Titan Advanced Energy Solutions. He is a senior member of the GE Equity team and leads the origination, structuring, and execution of growth capital investments and buy-out transactions across a wide range of industries. His industry experience spans technology, software, communications, media, energy, and renewables. He has over 15 years of investment transaction experience and has completed in excess of $50 Billion of transactions. He has served as GE's representative on the Boards of several of its portfolio investments. From 2010 to 2012, he served as a senior member of Energy Technology Ventures, a joint venture formed by GE, NRG Energy, and ConocoPhillips focused on investing in energy technology companies. Prior to joining the GE Equity team in 2007, he spent 4 years in GE's Structured Financing Group executing financing transactions and managing a $500 MM+ portfolio of investments including structured equity, senior debt, leases, project financings, and partnership investment interests. His responsibilities included maximizing returns through restructurings, recapitalization, and sales of positions. Prior to joining GE, he was an investment banker with Lehman Brothers in New York, serving as a Vice President in its Communications & Media Group. During his 5 years at Lehman Brothers, he executed a wide variety of M&A and corporate financing transactions in the communications and media sectors. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton in New York. At Booz Allen, he focused on providing strategy and operations consulting services to clients in the technology, media, and telecom industries. He holds an MBA degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. He is an Angel Investor.
