Biography

Mr. Greg Geiling serves as Co-Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director at Bayview Asset Management. Mr. Geiling served as Senior Managing Director, BAAM at The Blackstone Group. Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Geiling has been involved in sourcing and evaluating direct investment opportunities for the Hedge Fund Solutions group. He is also involved in hedge fund manager evaluation, selection and monitoring. Mr. Geiling serves on the Investment Committees for Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, Blackstone Strategic Opportunity Fund and Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Fund. Before joining Blackstone in 2011, Mr. Geiling was a portfolio manager at Duquesne Capital Management, overseeing investments in the technology, media and telecom sectors. Mr. Geiling started his career in the equity research department of J.P. Morgan where he was responsible for several technology industry segments including wireline equipment, wireless equipment, and data networking. Mr. Geiling was ranked each year from 1997 to 2002 on the Institutional Investor All-American Research Team for his coverage of several technology sectors including being ranked the #1 analyst on Wall Street covering the telecommunications equipment industry. Upon the acquisition of J.P. Morgan by Chase Manhattan, J.P. Morgan Chase named Mr. Geiling to the role of Chief Technology Strategist. Mr. Geiling holds a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University.
