Biography

Ms. Laurie Zorn served as a Venture Partner at K5 Ventures. She is a strategy and business development professional with a decade of experience advising companies across various growth stages, from startup to Fortune 50. Her work with entrepreneurs focuses on go-to market, new product/market development, and organization/business process design. She currently is a partner at High Spark Advisors in New York and a mentor for innovation and entrepreneurship at Columbia University. Previously, Laurie held a management position with Mattel where she led multiple projects for the International division, including extending Mattel's footprint in emerging markets and managing the strategic planning process. Prior to Mattel, Laurie was a management consultant with A.T. Kearney in New York. In this role, she led engagement teams advising corporate and private equity clients on growth strategy and business process initiatives. Additionally, she held Finance roles with Unilever where she participated in the launch of the Dove brand into the beauty care market. Laurie holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate degree in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Boston University.
