Biography

Mr. Duane Kuang is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at Qiming Venture Partners. He also serves as Director at Springhill Fund Asset Management (HK). He serves as Board Member at Finern Automation, PR Measurement, Emergen, Unisound, SUPERHEXA, WeRide, Qiniu Cloud, HashQuark, imToken, Face++, Cencorp Automation, Aiqi Technology, Chaitin Technology, Mutto Optronics, Yi Technology, FiMi Technology, CooTek, Doc In, and Bomming Vision. He is an Angel Investor. He is a member of the Investment Committee. He has over 30 years of operational and investment experience and started his venture capital career in 1999. His areas of investment include Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Blockchain. Some of his prior investments include Roborock (SHSE:688169), UBTech, Hesai Technology, Intelligent Automation, Chaitin, etc. He is the Chairman of the China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) and a member of the VC committee of AMAC. He has been recognized by the Forbes Global 100 VC Midas List in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Prior to founding Qiming, he was the Director of Intel Capital China where he led the strategic investment activities of Intel. Before joining Intel, he spent five years at Cisco Systems in China, holding various senior management positions. He started his career in Silicon Valley as a software engineer and later entered into a management role in the digital telecommunications field. He was educated in the U.S. He holds an MBA degree from the University of California at Berkeley, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from California State University in San Francisco.
