Biography

Mr. Josef Prosperi is a Co-Founder and serves as Board Member at Capital Health Partners (Canada). He served as Chief Development Officer & Chief Financial Officer at Medical Pharmacies Group. He served as a Partner at Clearspring Capital Partners. He served as Director at Investus Mining. He joined Clearspring in 2013. Joe is involved in all aspects of Clearspring's business. He has over 15 years of private equity experience working across a range of industries in North America and brings significant transaction experience, sector expertise, and a proven track record of returns to the Clearspring team. Joe currently serves on the Board of Directors of Medical Pharmacies Group and was instrumental in the acquisition of Desjardins Health Group in 2013. Prior to joining Clearspring, Joe was a Managing Director at Beringer Capital, a Toronto-based private equity group focused on marketing services investments. Joe's experience includes 10 years at Teachers' Private Capital (TPC), the private equity division of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board (OTPP). At TPC he was responsible for the sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, financing, and execution of private equity transactions and was a senior member of the team as they expanded the portfolio and team significantly between 2001 and 2009. TPC was one of the founding investors of Osprey Media Group, where Joe worked closely with senior management on several strategic initiatives and acquisitions. Joe also led and worked on several successful acquisitions including Samsonite, AOT Bedding Holdings (Serta Inc.), General Nutrition Centers (GNC) Inc., Trimac Corporation, and Worldspan. In his role at TPC, Joe was a member of the Investment Committee that was responsible for all private equity investment recommendations at OTPP. He served on the Board of Directors of the following companies: CTVglobemedia, Osprey Media Income Fund, Trimac Equipment Leasing Inc., AOT Bedding Holdings (SERTA Inc), and General Nutrition Centers Inc.(GNC). Joe holds an MBA from McGill University and a B.A. (Economics) from Wilfrid Laurier University.
