Biography

Ms. Abigail Black Elbaum is a Co-Founder of Ogden CAP Properties and serves as its Principal. She is a Trustee at CJM Foundation. She also serves as Vice Chairwoman at Columbia University. She is a Co-Founder and Principal of Ogden CAP Properties, a real estate management, development, and investment firm with assets in New York and Washington, D.C. She began her career in banking at JP Morgan Chase. Her other board affiliations include the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, the Mount Vernon Triangle CID, The New York City Police Foundation, and the Lincoln Square BID, where she is on the Executive Committee. She is also a Governor of the Real Estate Board of New York and a Vice President and Trustee of Temple Emanu-El. She is a member of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital's Leadership Council for Children's and Women's Health. An alumna of Columbia College and Columbia Business School, she has served on the Columbia College Alumni Association, and the College's Board of Visitors and, in 2002, received the Columbia College Young Alumni Achievement Award. She is also the former Chair of the Alumni Trustee Nominating Committee. In 2015, she received the John Jay Award at Columbia College for distinguished professional achievement. She is currently on the Steering Committee of Columbia College's Core to Commencement Campaign and the President's Council for Columbia World Projects.
