David Pratt General Information
Biography
Mr. David Pratt served as Senior Vice President & Exploration Manager at Rex Energy. He has over 30 years experience as a senior geologist working on projects located throughout the United States. Mr. Pratt comes to Rex Energy from Cabot Oil and Gas working in the Appalachian Basin. Specific work included the Oriskany, Knox, Onondaga and Trenton-Black River plays, as well as the Devonian Shale and Devonian/Carboniferous sandstone in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He also gained substantial working knowledge in the Appalachian Front of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Tennessee. Prior to his Cabot Oil and Gas, Pratt worked for Texaco in West Texas; Sohio Petroleum in Colorado, Nevada and Utah; Ensource and Enstar in the western U.S.; and Ultramar in Texas and the Rocky Mountain areas. Mr. Pratt obtained his B.S. degree in Geology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany, NY and earned an M.A degree in Geology from Rice University in Houston.
